Andrew "Dru" Hepkins is a former standout track and field student-athlete from Moore Catholic High School and Wagner College who made his mark in both program histories. During his collegiate career in the late 1990s, he set multiple long-standing sprinting records for the Wagner Seahawks. He's recognized as one of the top sprinters in the program's history, establishing multiple school records that stood over two decades in both schools.
Hepkins joined track late in his junior year of high school and, within a year, became a sub-50-second quarter-miler, sub-23-second 200-meter runner, and sub-two-minute half-miler. He won the Staten Island Championships in the 400 and 200 meters as a senior and later became one of his college’s longest-standing record holders across multiple distances.
